If you are looking for a getaway in a very traditional, rural Spanish village, then this detached house must be worth considering.

The house is also in very good condition so it is ready to occupy straight away.

The current owner bought the property to restore, and he has sympathetically created a characterful and comfortable village home that manages to retain much of the integrity of the original. It now provides a lovely home for permanent use or for use as a holiday home or holiday rental.

The layout is straightforward. On the ground floor, the double front doors open into the main reception room which has been loosely divided into an entrance hall and a sitting room. There is wood burning stove in the sitting room. Understairs storage.

A couple of steps run past the stairs to the first floor and into the kitchen. This has been well fitted and is equipped as a fully-working kitchen. Beyond the kitchen, there is a rear hall with a door to the patio garden and into the bathroom.

On the first floor, there are three bedrooms. At one end of the house, adjacent to one of the bedrooms, there is a large store room that could easily be adapted to provide an ensuite shower room and still allow room for storage. There is also a possibility to provide a balcony to the bedroom at the opposite end of the house, subject to necessary planning permission.

LIMONES is a hamlet that falls within the administrative region of the villages of Moclín. It sits on the north-west facing slopes looking towards the Fortaleza la Mota above Alcalá la Real. This is a very historic corner of Granada Province, bordering Jaén Province. There is a cave in the mountain behind Limones that contains neolithic drawings dating back some 7,000 years. This is an area where olive trees grow, interspersed with almonds, and it is peaceful and pretty. Driving through some of the surrounding landscapes and you can be forgiven for feeling as if you have been transported back in time. Nearby, there is the beautiful pentane de Colomera where it is possible to swim and kayak in utter tranquillity. There are many hiking routes in the vicinity and most of the surrounding villages have their own bars and small supermarkets for essential items. Alcalá la Real is the nearest town.
